Holiday Window Display Application

Applications for LumiNAMA 2023 are now closed. Subscribe here for updates about creating a holiday window display next year.

Are you interested in creating a holiday window display for an unoccupied storefront in downtown North Adams as part of the LumiNAMA?

LumiNAMA is an annual festival of lights and events begun in 2022 to brighten and celebrate downtown North Adams during the holiday season kicking off with the City’s tree lighting and lasting through New Year’s Day.

We are seeking local artists, folks who enjoy holiday decorating and community groups to help create festive window displays reflecting this year’s LumiNAMA theme of “A Few of My Favorite Things” and expressing that theme in whatever way it means to you!  Lights of some sort need to be included in your display.

Applications will be reviewed by a panel of the following local community leaders:

  • Mayor Jennifer Macksey

  • Maureen Baran, SVP Communications, Adams Community Bank

  • Anna Farrington, founder of First Fridays and owner of the Installation Space

  • Nico Dery, Business Development Director, North Adams Chamber

  • Victoria Frey, Director of People & Culture at MASS MoCA

If your idea is chosen, we will match you with one of the windows made available by a local property owner. (Artists will be matched with windows through a random lottery process).

Property owners will inform you of any special guidelines they have, as well as how and when you can access their space.

Each winner will receive $200 to help cover the cost of their materials.

There are 10 windows available to decorate.
